True but that still doesn't change my want for it to take itself a bit more seriously, most of the content creators I watch are streamers but it does get a little irritating when everything has to be joke-ified because of them
As for the Arirals, you don't see them themselves for reasons that are spoilers but there are things in the game that show what they look like
I played the game for a week and got to day 34 so I've seen a lot of the creepy stuff, like I said, this game scared me more than most other horror games have but the later days of the story really focus hard on Arirals which I'm just not a fan of so I lost interest, I do plan on continuing and trying to beat the game after my break from it, if there is an ending yet but maybe I'll have a better time infinite mode since Arirals seem to be story exclusive from what I've read in the discord
And like I said in a reply I made to someone else, being a furry myself and seeing the discord, I just can't help but feel like they are an out of place furry insert and just to be clear since I've been getting a ton of down votes from people, I do really like this game, I wouldn't even be making these comments of I didn't feel as passionate about this game as I do, I just wish it was more thematically consistent
I watched Joel play Signal sim and I honestly thought it looked a little worse, I still considered picking it up but the dev has abandoned the game I decided to pass on it
But as for VOTV, Can't really talk about it since big spoilers aren't allowed in the comments but there is stuff in game that shows what they look like and they are very clearly meant to be cute and not scary, and joining the discord kinda just reinforces that, Don't get me wrong, I have nothing wrong with furries, I AM a furry and I'm very much an advocate for non-human races in games, especially playable ones but only where they fit and in a game like this, I feel like they just don't really fit as the game starts off as "Things from space beyond your comprehension taking notice that you are looking for them" but by the end turns in to "Hehe cute alien" once again, can't go in to more detail about it but by day 34 I was completely and utterly uninterested in the story anymore and while my retention to the story is a matter of opinion, I think most people would agree that game stops being scary by that point.
